I was having a conversation with a friend of mine. He is also an adult webmaster and we were talking about how different things are now compared to say, 80 years back.
Back then a girl was considered and adult and often married with children by age fourteen to sixteen. Especially in rural areas where farming was the main economic engine. The quicker you got your kids out the quicker they could help with the duties of running the farm.
When I had my first kid I laughed at my grandmothers comments. They were saying, “Oh my, you are so-so young. Too young to be starting a family.”
I was thinking… WTF? Are you serious? You both had my parents at fifteen! I had my son at nineteen. But a numeric age wasn’t what they were referring to when they said I was too young. They were referring to how much life experience I had up to that point. Which – I have to admit, was none.
So… back to our conversation.
It centered around how “young” girls are now-a-days even at 18 years old. They are so fucking naive it isn’t even funny. Girls are sexting to their boyfriends and just about anyone who will listen on Facebook, Myspace and Stickam.
The scary part was we could both see a USA where the right wing conservatives win and they up the age of consent to twenty-one!
Imagine that shit. All of the 18 year old girls you are checking out would be illegal. My blog would be illegal!
